Jackson County Florida Man Charged with Grand Theft

On Sunday May 12, 2013 at approximately 10:28 p.m., Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriffs Office arrived at an address on Suncrest Road in Marianna, Florida in reference to information obtained that stolen items were possibly at the residence. The items in question were allegedly taken from an address on Main Street in Cypress, Florida.
At the residence Deputies made contact with a resident who identified himself as Ian Andrew Hopper. Hopper informed the Deputies that on this date he had taken scrap metal from a property on Main Street without permission from the owner of the property. The stolen items were then located in the backyard of the residence. The stolen items were then identified and confirmed to be the items taken from the property on Main Street.
Ian Andrew Hopper was then taken into custody and charged with Grand Theft. Hopper was then transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
