In May, 2012, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation regarding allegations of bank fraud that had been reported by local banks. During the course of the investigation, information was gathered that allowed investigators to secure arrest warrants for Charlie Senior, Jr. and Patricia A. Hughes for the charge of Bank Fraud and Grand Theft. On 6-4-2012, investigators served the arrest warrants at Senior, Jr. and Hughes’ residence located at 4175 Barron Road Graceville, Florida. During the course of the arrest Charlie Senior, Jr., a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a firearm. Investigation subsequent to the arrest determined that Senior Jr. was a convicted sex offender in the State of Georgia and had been labeled an absconder. As a result of this discovery, Senior, Jr. was additionally charged with failure to register as a sex offender and being a felon in possession of a firearm. This investigation remains open and subject to additional criminal charges.
