The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a residential burglary in which several items of jewelry and a flat screen television were stolen from the Cottondale area.
A couple of the items of jewelry taken were somewhat rare and could possibly be easily noticed if they were traded or sold. The first was a Chipley High School class ring with a blue stone on the top and the last name of Ellis inscribed on it.
The second ring was a 2005 ACC Championship ring. The top of the ring has the letters “ACC” in blue surrounded by diamonds. One side of the ring has the year “2005” and “Inaugural” separated by the ACC logo. The other side has “FSU” and “ELLIS” separated by a football helmet.
The attached pictures are from a ring from a classmate. The rings are identical except for the name inscribed on the side above the FSU helmet.
Anyone with any information, please contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at (850)482-9624 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 526-5000.
