Jackson County Woman Charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon

On March 8, 2014 at 8:45 pm a 911 call was made from a residence on Bright Prospect Road in Marianna, Florida reporting that a male had been stabbed. Upon arrival by deputies of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, it was determined the male and a female identified as Rowena Dixon,  had been involved in an argument. The argument ceased after Rowena Dixon stabbed the male victim in the back and left the scene.  Dixon was located walking away from the scene and was detained by deputies. Jackson County EMS responded and treated the male victim for a stab wound to his back and later transported him to a hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Dixon was identified as the suspect by the male victim. Dixon was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Correctional Facility where she will await first appearance.
