This morning Cottonwood native Jim Hardy paased away in Orange Beach Alabama.
Jim Hardy has lived in Orange Beach for many years. He his wife Peggy and son Jeff owned and operated severl shoe stores. Those stores were in Orange Beach, Foley, Mobile and Jackson Mississippi.
In his younger years Jim Hardy played for the Cottonwood Bears. He loved football and the time he played for Cottonwood. Life carried him in different directions after high school But Jim Hardy was a gifted football player and could have played for any college team that he wanted.
Jim loved his family. But one love he had and was very special to him was his grandson. That young man had his complete attention.
Jim Hardy is the son of Lula Hardy Outlaw.
Funeral services are to be announced. They will be in Jackson Alabama.
Jim Hardy is Marsha Stokes uncle. We spent most Thanksgiving's with he and his family in Orange Beach. It was always the highlight of the thanksgiving season. He loved family, loved to cook and made everyone feel very welcome.
Uncle Jim was fun to be around and always laughing.
