MONTGOMERY: The divorce of Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and Dianne Bentley is final. A judge approved the divorce settlement they submitted Monday.
Judge Elizabeth Hamner, a Bentley appointee who oversaw and sealed the record, recused herself. A judge declined a motion filed by multiple Alabama media outlets to unseal the Bentley divorce proceedings, though the documents were unsealed. The released documents do not include any specific settlement agreement or division of property, just that a settlement was reached.
