Jury of 12 Finds Man Not Guilty On 7 Counts of Attempted Murder

HOUSTON COUNTY: Today in Houston County Circuit Court, Honorable Larry Anderson presiding, a jury of 12 aquiited a man on 7 counts of Attempted Murder.
The defense team was Adam Parker and John White ( Retired Dothan Police Chief ) of Cobb, Boyd, White and Cobb.
Jalyn Rashad Salter was acquitted in Houston County Circuit Court today for seven counts of attempted murder.
Attorney Adam Parker, who was lead counsel, stated that the State of Alabama was unable to produce sufficient evidence to convict his client.
Jalyn Salter was alleged to have shot at five Dothan Police Officers and two civilians outside a night club in Dothan. Parker stated that the State was unable to produce any credible evidence against Salter.
He and retired Police Chief John White represented their client and argued for acquittal to the jury.
The jury acquitted the Salter on all seven counts after approximately thirty minutes of deliberation. Salter was being held on $1,750,000 bond for all counts since being arrested on June 3, 2015.
