HOUSTON COUNTY:  The courthouse in Houston County is buzzing with lawyers, Judges, prosecutors, police officers, jurors and defendants. This week is Criminal Jury Trial week, Many cases on the dociket and Judges are busy with pleas, dismissals, and trials.

One case a jury has returned guilty verdicts in the courtroom of Judge Kevin Moulton. The trial involved a man who was just sentenced to 100 years by Judge White on other offenses. Today a Houston County Jury convicted Mark Anthony Beecham of three counts of Sodomy in the first degree, felony first dgree theft of Property, two counts of first degree Rape, and one count of first degree kidnapping.

Beecham already has a 20 year sentence in Florida.

A sentencing date has been scheduled later. Beechum remaiins in custody - for a long time plus some more to come!
