K-9 Officer Killed in the Line of Duty in Tallahassee

Leon County, Florida: A K-9 Officer (Dog) has been shot and killed in Leon County, Florida. Police say the shooting stemmed from an intiated traffic stop that turned into a police chase. The location of the incident has been identified as Seminole Drive and Magnolia Drive. The suspect, is reported to be wanted on 1st Degree Attempted muder charges as well as battery and discharging a firearm at a vehicle. The suspect will now face charges of mudering a Law Enforcement Officer. A K-9 Police Dog is considered an officer. The Leon County Sheriff's Office will have a press release sent out on this tomorrow and this article will be updated with the release.
