Kidnapping Call In Houston County is Changed to an Assault Call

Hodgesville: Multiple Houston County Deputies responded to a kidnapping call on Cecil Varnum Road in the Hodgesville Community. When deputies arrived they didn’t find the suspect or the victim. Lt Anderson placed a call to the suspects cell phone and spoke with the suspect and the victim. The victim told Lt Anderson where she was and deputies responded to check on her. Mean while the suspect left, deputies and Dothan Police Officers made contact with the victim and cleared the home where she was. Rescue was requested due to the injuries from the assault. A BOLO was issued to the surrounding counties to be on the look out for the suspects vehicle. The victim was taken to the hospital for some facial injuries.
A few minutes later law enforcement spotted the suspect vehicle made contact with the suspect, he was taken into custody with out further incident.
