Dale County Schools will offer afree “Kindergarten Jump Start Program” to all incoming kindergartners. The program will begin Monday, July 20 and end Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. This will be just before school starts. Students will come to our school to work with kindergarten staff in age-appropriate activities that include circle time, snack, art, and learning centers. One of our goals for this program is to help children and parents become comfortable with the transition to school. Transportation will not be provided by the school system. Parents will be responsible for their child’s transportation needs.
We will also offer a parent meeting during our Jump Start program. You will:
- Learn about kindergarten and how you can support your child’s learning
- Take home materials to support your child at home
- Meet the Principal, kindergarten teachers, and other staff
