HOUSTON COUNTY:   Dothan businessman Steve Hardwick has started a Cakes For Cody. And the community has come out in full support of Steve’s efforts.



Steve Hardwick, who owns Hardwick Flooring, started baking cakes for people and delivering them just to make them feel special.



Steve went to school with Frankie Hayes, Cody’s dad. And through Cody’s life, Steve was touched.



Knowing the financial battles which were placed on Cody’s parents, Steve wanted to do something to help. So he went to FACEBOOK and started CAKES FOR CODY. You can order a $ 20 cake, Steve will bake it and get it to you. All of the proceeds are going to Cody’s family to help off set expenses they incurred.



In fact, Steve is not even taking out the cost of the ingredients to bake the cakes.



He has been amazed at the community support. Even was sent a check for $ 1,000.00 and no cake order.
