LEE COUNTY: Last week RSN asked the judge in the case State of Alabama verses Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard to be allowed the use of laptops in covering the trial. We were denied.
I personally then filed a motion with the court to get it into the official court record the request and denial. That was FED EX to the court and to have arrived by 10:30 AM yesterday.
Today at 11:27 AM the court entered an order for Media Guidelines. The motion I FEd Ex was never entered into the court record. However the Judge issued media guidelines the next day.
As long as their is an audio and/or video feed into the media room, that is fine with me. The media needs to be allowed the use of the laptop in order to adequately cover the trial.
We thank Judge Walker for his establishing the media plan.
This trial is important to the citizens of the State of Alabama. It is important in that all three branches of government, Executive ( Governor ), Legislative ( Speaker of House ) and the Judicial ( Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court ) are all in hot water.
Two of the three looks like impeachment proceedings and the third criminal charges are lodged against.
