Friday night April 8 will be the fun yard party and BBQ Bash at the Houston County Farm Center. Great food and drinks will be available, and you should bring a lawn chair to sit on, but with the band we have Friday night, you may be on your feet dancing all night! Legacy has been entertaining in the Southeast since January 2005.  Based out of Dothan Alabama, the band is comprised of individuals who are passionate about their music and enjoy entertaining a crowd.  Legacy’s primary focus is “old school” R&B and funk.   A small serving of Motown and  smooth jazz is also included in the repretoire.

The band is a professional organization - both on and off stage.  The band director states, “Our music is 100% live - NO ‘Autotune’ , NO  pre-recorded ‘canned music’ ; NO sampling, sequencing or looping --- not that there’s anything wrong with sampling, sequencing or looping --- we just prefer to play the music ourselves as opposed to letting technology play it for us. Our sound has evolved over recent months and we’re very excited with the direction it has taken.”

Gates open at 5, Heaven’s Island Steel Drum Band to begin playing shortly after that, and Legacy will take the stage at 7:00 PM on Friday April 8. Tickets can be bought at the gate for just $10 each, children 6 and under are free. The event is family-friendly, and there are activities for children like FREE train rides courtesy of Five Star Credit Union, and free bounce houses.  Visit www.TriStateBBQ.com for more information.
