Licensed Professional Counselor Joins AltaCare Staff

DOTHAN, Ala. - Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to welcome Sarah Foy, licensed professional counselor (LPC), to the AltaCare Outpatient Psychiatry and Counseling program
As a LPC at AltaCare, Foy leads group therapy sessions in the partial hospitalization program, as well as individual therapy sessions.
Foy has been a practicing counselor for the last four years in Tennessee and Alabama. Prior to moving to Dothan earlier this year, Foy provided individual counseling and other mental health services in Middle Tennessee.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. She received her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling/Mental Health from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She completed additional certificate training in Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and the 2020 Mom Project. She is licensed by the state of Alabama as a professional counselor.
Prior to joining the AltaCare staff, Foy served as an assessment specialist at a behavioral medicine clinic in Dothan.
