Mike Gamble, a local attorney, has submitted a "Motion to submit brief Amici Curiae". In his motion, Gamble has concerns with the Houston County Commission's decision yesterday to agree to refund a major portion of Bingo fees currently held in escroe to HEDA, the Houston Economic Development Association. HEDA operates the Bingo games at Country Crossing.

In his motion, Gamble says there is a lack of merit to the claim for a refund of the fees, and that "there exists the real possibility the parties are attempting to utilize the equitable jurisdiction of this court to accomplish what they are prohibited by law to do. It is respectfully suggested that such a scenario would work a fraud upon the court".

Gamble also ascertains that the wording of the proposed consent judgement gives the impression that the court is ordering the Houston County Commission to return the funds. Gamble included in his motion a copy of an article in the Dothan Eagle that supported his position.
