DOTHAN: You always hear when law enforcement do something bad, but never hear about when they something good. When I read this article on Facebook about one of Dothan Officers I just had to post it.
Last Friday I was traveling through Dothan from my home near Albany, Ga. I was on my way to Elba because my mother in law had just passed away. I got a phone call that my baby girl had just been found deceased. I was hysterical, I couldn't see, I couldn't think. I did manage to get off the road and called 911.
Earlier I had been on the phone talking to her and she had been asleep and her voice sounded as such, and she kind of faded away on me. According to the coroner that was when she had a heart attack and was gone. The phone was still in her hand. She was only 43. She and her grandmother went within a couple of hours of each other.
The officer’s name was Scott Owens, he was so kind, and he even hugged me while I cried. I just wanted him to know he will forever be in my thoughts and prayers and what a blessing he was that day. I would like to tell him myself one day soon.
I had wanted to put my story on your wall so that others would know that we do have some good LEO's out here watching over us. They do more than catch bad guys.
