Log Truck Overturned With Entrappment

MADRID:   Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a serious/critical motor vehicle accident, log truck overturned with entrapment. The call was on Decatur Road in Madrid.


Multiple fire agencies responded, Madrid Volunteer Fire, Rehobeth Volunteer Fire, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire,  Dothan Fire, Pilcher's Ambulance.


Extrication took place to cut the driver from the wreck. HAZ-MAT from Dotrhan Fire responded because of the fuel leak.


About 8:30 AM the fireman had the driver extracated. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening.


Houston County Sheriff Deputy Nowell, Lt. Ivey and Cpl.Hatcher were on the scene. Alabama State Trooper McCallister is in charge of the accident investigation.
