DOTHAN: Today surrounded by friends and family David Jay says good bye. After starting his career some 25 years and 10 months ago with the Dothan Police Department, Jay has decided to hang up his badge and take off his uniform one last time.  At the rank of Capitan Jay has come up through the ranks starting off as a patrol officer in 1988.  


When I talked to Captain Jay has stated that it has been a bitter sweet time, but he feels it is time to move on. Beginning October 6th Jay will start a new venture by going to work for Harri Anne Smith’s Campaign


Rickey and I have known David Jay a long time and we both would like to wish him the best in his new endeavors.
