Man Assaults Officer and Still Goes to Jail

On 02/20/2017 Patrol Officers were attempting to arrest an individual on an outstanding warrant in the 2000 block of Kinsey Road. The individual assaulted one of the Officers and fled on foot. He was taken into custody a short time later.


Investigators have arrested and charged 70 year Hansel Burney, of Rocky Branch Road, with Assault 2nd degree Escape 3rd. Bond has been set at $25,000.


All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
