Man Charged with January Shooting in Dothan

On 01/30/2016 Officers were dispatched to a firearm assault at Flowers Hospital. Upon their arrival they determined that the incident was domestic related and had occurred in the 1500 block of Westgate Parkway.
The victim was treated and later released with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators quickly identified the suspect as 24 year old Cornelius Jaquann Walker, of Flynn Road, and obtained a warrant for Domestic Violence 1St degree. Investigators searched several locations attempting to locate and arrest Walker.
On 02/02/2016 Agents with the US Marshal’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted Investigators from Dothan Police Department and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Walker. He was taken into custody at a residence on Westgate Parkway. Walker currently has no bond.
