Man Charged with Theft by Dale County Sheriffs's Office

On September 27th 2016 Dale County Sheriff’s Investigators charged David Shannon Wright with Theft of Property 1st. On September 26th Dale County Deputies responded to Claybank Street in Ariton in reference to a report of a  stolen vehicle.


A vehicle used by the Dale County Board of Education transportation department was taken from a parking lot near the Ariton High School baseball field. Around 1:00AM on September 27th deputies from the Dale County Sheriff’s Office and Coffee County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle near Snellgrove’s Bridge in Coffee County.


During the course of the investigation Wright was developed as a suspect and later charged with Theft of Property 1st.  Wright was transported to the Dale County Jail where he posted a $10,000 Bond.
