Man Critically Injured in Santa Rosa County CrashMarty Bowden

Santa Rosa County, Florida: The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a motorcycle crash this afternoon at around 1:03 in Santa Rosa County. The crash occurred on Old Bagdad Highway. The traffic crash report shows that the motorcycle was traveling East on Old Bagdad Road when the motorcycle's rear wheel began to skid on the pavement. The driver of the motorcycle is reported to have lost control of the motorcycle approximately 135 feet into the skid. The motorcycle then collided with the ground and started skidding.
The driver is reported to have continued skidding for approximately another 110 feet before coming to final rest. According to witnesses on the scene, the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the motorcycle, Thomas Alton Sanders, 57, of Bagdad, Florida, was critically injured in the crash and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
