White collar crime continues to rise. The theft of people's personal information is more common than ever before. One of the most glaring cases locally is one involving Flowers Hospital. Records of patients were stolen by an employee then the information sold to others who filed fraudulent income tax returns.
The hospital's parent company recently revealed that personal information involving several million patients were potentially stolen in yet another security breach.
