This afternoon I was traveling to Lowe’s in De Funiak Springs, when I seen two Walton County Sheriff’s Deputies go across the road with lights and sirens. I immediately turn my scanner to Walton county SO’s channel to find a man had been hit by a vehicle. This is what I found out:

Walton County Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle vs. pedestrian call with injuries. The caller also reported that the vehicle had fled the scene. The Deputies later found that the man had been struck intentionally. The location of the incident was 3212 East Highway 2. Walton County District 3 and Walton County Medic 1 responded to the scene to treat the patient. Walton County Deputies reported the man was not alert at one time. The man was trasnported to HealthMark Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The suspect, William C. Bartlett, was charged with Aggravated Assault With a Motor Vehicle, Driving With a Suspended License, and No Registration. Bartlett was arrested and transported to the Walton County Correctional Facility.
