Man Killed After Motorcycle Crashes Into John Deere Tractor

A 2001 Yamaha Motorcycle and a 2005 John Deere Tractor were traveling North on State Road 89 North of Pineview Church Road. The second vehicle was an implement of husbandry, a John Deere Tractor with a mower attached. The John Deere Tractor was traveling close to the grass median on the paved portion of the right of way (East side). The over width tractor's left wheel was traveling near the center of the northbound travel lane. The motorcycle was also traveling close to the center of the travel lane of the roadway. The Motorcycle struck the left rear of the tractor's implement with the front of the Motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital by AirHeart transport. The driver later died. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Nathan L. Berry, 22, of Flomaton, Alabama. The driver of the tractor, Grady Lane Faris, 45, of Brewton, Alabama, was not injured in the crash. The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Alcohol was not a factor in the cause of this crash.
