Man Seriously Injured After Vehicle Hits Tow Truck

A 1994 Mercedes C280 was travelin northbound on U.S. 29 (State Road 95) in the inside northbound lane. A 2006 Freightliner Tow Truck was backing South on the East shoulder of the northbound lane of U.S. 29 (State Road 95) in order to tow a vehicle. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Mercedes drifted from the inside northbound lane into the outside northbound lane and off onto the East shoulder of the roadway. The front of the Mercedes struck the left side of the Tow Truck. The Mercedes then spun counter clockwise before coming to final rest in the median facing southeast. The Tow Truck came to rest on the East shoulder of the roadway facing North.
