HOUSTON COUNTY:  I realize that I am only a dumb a-- bondsman with a blog, news site or whatever you wish to refer to it. And I realize the officials work to discredit me and always bash the messenger and never listent to the message.

In today's Dothan Eagle, ( see I am not afraid to mention their name ) they write an article concerning Fortner Street and Brannon Stand Road. The article states improvements are not scheduled until 2016. Houston County gave the state the road in 2012.

The article quotes comments from Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver. In the article Culver reports if they had known the state was not going to do anything the county would have.

HOUSTON COUNTY HAD KNOWLEDGE

The eexact date is unknown but here is a timeline. Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson will complete eight ( 8 ) years as Sheriff in January. Prior to his being Sheriff of Dale County, Bryant Mixon served as Sheriff.

Early one morning during the school week, prior to Spencer turning 16, he is 17 now, we ate breakfast at T and T Grocery. I then dropped him at school. As I dropped him at school there was a incident in Canterbury Farms at Napier Field. If memory serves me correct, it was a murder. I distinctly remember Sheriff Mixon on the scene.

When I left Rehobeth High I traveled through Taylor and on Brannon Stand Road, The traffic was horrible. The fourtway stop at Fortner Street and Brannon Stand Road was horrible. I called Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver and reported how bad it was.

From that point forward, if anything happened and I was at Rehobeth, I jumped through Malvern and out to Bay Springs and Highway 84. It was fatser.

From 2015, back up 9 years, it is year 2006. So since at least 2006 Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver knew the intersection was a nightmare.

If the Houston County Commission gave the road to the State of Alabama in 2012, my Houston Academy math says, there was at least 6 years that Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver knew there was a problem. And Houston County has down NOTHING to fix the problem. And now Chairman Culver wants to act so stupid in ...if we had known!!!!

Chairman you knew!!! So why did you not fix it besides apathy!

I HATE IT WHEN THEY THINK WE ARE STUPID

You know I hate it when elected people ( sorry, can't say they are officials when they think we are stupid ) blow smoke.

The bottom line is, Houston County Commissioners Curtis Harvey, Doug Sinquefield, Mark Culver, Jackie Battles, and Melinda McClendon ( gone!!! ) had apathy. I can not include Brandon Shoupe becuase he just started in November. Each of you had APATHY!

Fro the record of fairness, Former Commissioner Melinda McClendon is reported to have said she could not get anything done because Chairman Culver runs the show. However, Chairman Culver can not make a motion and can not vote unless there is a tie vote. Three commissioners control the votes.

So three of the foour voting commissioner control the actions. When former Houston County Commissioner Phil Forrester passed and there were only 3 voting members, two commissioners controlled the votes.

SO WHEN TIE UP IN TRAFFIC ON BRANNON STAND and FORTNER STREET

It is squarely the fault of the Houston County Commission!
