Marianna Arrest Three on Drug Charges

On November 24th, 2015 at approximately 08:30 p.m., officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Milton Ave., on a Black in color, Toyota passenger car. Upon conducting the stop for the traffic infraction of inoperable tail lights, contact was made with the driver of the vehicle, James Ledbetter as well as two passengers in the vehicle who were identified as Jeston Byrd and Duryance Fuller. During the course of the traffic stop Officer’s obtained consent to search the vehicle. Once Officers removed Ledbetter from the vehicle a small baggy of marijuana fell from between Ledbetter’s legs as Officers were checking his person. Byrd who was found to have an active no bond warrant for parole violation was then removed from the vehicle and once he was in custody a search of his person revealed a small plastic baggy containing the drug Alpha-PVP commonly referred to as “Flakka”. Officers continued their search and located several individually packaged baggies of marijuana in a jacket belonging to Fuller. All three subjects were arrested and charged with the above listed charges and were transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
