Marianna Man Arrest for Armed Robbery with a Firearm

                        Charge: Armed Robbery with a Firearm

            On 06/20/2012 at approximately 12:20am officers with the Marianna Police Department received a call to Orange Street in the Area of Graham Street in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred. Officers met with the victims and were able to get a description of the people involved two black females and two black males. Officers were able to locate the two black females not named because of age. After talking with several witnesses and the two females officers were able to identify the black males. One identified as Donald Sparks Jr. and another not named because of his age. An arrest warrant was obtained for Sparks and officers located him later in the afternoon of 06/20/2012 on Orange Street. Sparks fled on sight of the officers and after a brief foot chase he was taken into custody and transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility.

            Sparks also had another active warrant for Possession with intent to distribute narcotics in a housing development and resisting officer without violence
