Marianna Man Arrested om Drug Charges

On May 3rd, 2015 at approximately 3:44 p.m., Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black Toyota passenger vehicle in the Winn-Dixie parking lot for the infractions of parking in the fire lane as well as having a cracked windshield. During the traffic stop officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Christopher Rowan. During the stop Officers obtained consent to search Rowans vehicle. Once Rowan exited the vehicle he admitted to Officers that he had a Tylenol bottle in his pants pocket which contained Hydrocodone. Officers recovered the pill bottle which contained (9) 10mg Hydrocodone tablets and (1) 1mg Alprazolam tablet. Both medications are scheduled narcotics and require a prescription which Rowan did not possess at the time of the stop. Rowan was placed under arrest and is charged with the above listed charges. Rowan was transported to the Marianna Police Department for processing and later transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility where he will await first appearance.
