Marianna Man Charged in BurglaryMatt Boster

On 03-14-2014 officers of the Marianna Police Department were dispatched to Dogwood St. Marianna, Fl. 32446 in reference to a report of a residential burglary. The burglary was discovered by a family friend who was watching the house for the victim. The friend, Eric Logan Perdue, reported that he discovered forced entry at the back door of the residence, and realized that many fire arms and a substantial amount of ammunition were missing from the residence.
On 03-17-2014 it was confirmed that this same family friend, Eric Logan Perdue, had in actuality pawned many of the missing fire arms. Perdue later that same day came to the Marianna Police Department and admitted to making a false report and staging the burglary and theft in an attempt to conceal that he had pawned several of firearms. In addition, he admitted selling some of the missing firearms to private citizens.
Eric Logan Perdue W/M 18YOA of Marianna, FL was arrested and charged with False Report to Law Enforcement, Armed Burglary, and Grand Theft. Perdue was taken to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance.
