Marianna Western Auto Gets Burglarized

On 05-08-2012, at approx. 0230hrs, officers responded to the area of the Motel Sandusky in ref. to a suspicious person, riding a bicycle, looking into vehicles in the motel parking lot. When the officer attempted to contact the suspect, the suspect fled. The male was soon apprehended behind Ray’s Garage. He was identified as Gabriel DeWayne Clemons, D.O.B. 11-10-1982, of Skyview Rd. Marianna. Items found on Clemons led officers to a burglary of the Western Auto, located at 4159 Lafayette St. Marianna. It was found that the front glass of the business was busted out. And items from the business had been removed, including the bicycle Clemons had been riding. Found hidden behind the business were several pieces of lawn equipment valued at over $1000.00 or more.

Clemons was ultimately charged with, Resisting Arrest without Violence, Grand Theft, Criminal Mischief over $1000.00, and Burglary with Property Damage over $1000.oo.

Gabriel DeWayne Clemons is now being held at the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await First Appearance.
