Marianna Woman Change Tampering with Evidence

     On March 9th, 2014 at approximately 1:59 p.m., officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to the area of Orange St. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers learned that Devonta Gibson had fled behind the complainant’s house just prior to Officers arriving. While officers were checking the area Gibson was spotted walking from behind a residence on Washington St. once Gibson seen the Officers vehicle he ran behind the mobile home and officers observed him discard something behind the mobile home. Officers were able to make contact with Gibson as well as recover the items Gibson attempted to discard. Gibson had attempted to discard marijuana which was packaged for sale as well  as a digital scale. Devonta Gibson was arrested for the above listed charges and was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
