Marriana Police Makes an Arrest

On November 28, 2016 at approximately 5:14 p.m. Officers of Marianna Police Department responded to a report of a hit & run accident on Jefferson Street. Once an Officer arrived on scene they spoke with the victim who advised a silver sports utility vehicle struck his truck and drove off. Officers got an additional call involving another hit & run on Jefferson Street. With the help of a Good Samaritan, Officers located the vehicle in question on Madison Street. It was at this location, Officers came into contact with an individual who was identified as Lizbeth Rodriquez. Rodriquez acknowledged crashing into the parked vehicle and an additional vehicle. Rodriquez was placed under arrest without incident for Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage. Rodriquez was transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
