BIRMINGHAM: Evangilist Matt Pitt was found not guilty of a Class C Felony of Impersonating A Police Officer. He was tried in Birmingham - Jefferson County.
This case and recent cases where persons are found NOT GULTY means two things. One is, officers are making cases without proper judgment. A law enforcement officer is to use more common sense in making decisions. The officers decisions can affect someone the rest of their life.
Most importantly, some cases I have seen prosecuted. Well, the prosecutors need to be held accountable for their actions. A prosecutor should use common sense, and when he or she does not, they should be sanctions against that prosecutor.
A good common sense prosecutor resides in Dale and Geneva County. The people of Dale and Geneva County have Kirke Adams. While I do not always agree with Adams' decision, he brings to the table wisdom and common sense. A sense for the punishment to fit the crime.
Prosecutors are over zealous. And based on their actions, when they say they do not have enough money to operate, the people need to throw the manure card down. Because when they waste money, as was in the Pitt trial, they are slinging manure to the public.
With power comes responsibility and common sense. Prosecution is not about destroying people's lives. And today, many prosecutors only want to destroy rather than find a reasonable solution to the problem.
Prosceutors make mistakes. But they do not comprehend that GOOD people make mistakes too.
