DOTHAN:  Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz request the honor of the presence of the residents of Dothan, Houston County and the wiregrass area to join him, members of the Dothan Commission, Chamber of Commerce, Houston County Commission and wiregrass elected officials, along with Alabama Governor Robert Bentley - Friday at 10:30 in the arena of the Dothan Civic Center.


A team, Mayor Schmitz, Chamber Matt Parker, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and a host of others have been working - working - and working on landing jobs. They have hit many balls, made many trips, and worked hard for over a year to land jobs in Dothan and the wiregrass area.


Well Friday at 10:30 AM there will be an announcement. This announcement will be a large announcement. Mayor Schmitz wants to show this corporation how the community will show up in support of their coming to Dothan.


Who and What? Well we are going to wait for the Governor, Mayor, Chamber President and wiregrass officials to make the announcement.


What we will say...Mayor Mike Schmitz and Chamber Matt Parker, in conjunction with Alabama Governor Robert Bentley have spent many hours working for over one year to land these jobs in Dothan. It is a major announcement and these guys have worked very hard.


Join Mayor Schmitz and others and let's give this corporate partner coming to Dothan a huge Dothan welcome.


For the record...Schmitz will be the first to tell you this has been a team effort. And Governor Bentley has stepped up to the plate to make this a home run.


The citizens of Dothan need to know, the work that Mayor Mike Schmitz and Chamber President Matt Parker, along with some local Dothan businessmen have put in to make this happen has been tremendous. We will let them lay it out, however, this would not happen if it had not been for the due diligence of Mayor Schmitz and Chamber President Matt Parker.


Schmitz motto - GO! GO! GO!...and that is what these two men along with a team of others have done...over and over, over and over, over and over to get us jobs in Dothan. Their number one priority.
