Mayor Mike Schmitz will speak at a celebration at First United Methodist Church in Dothan at 5:30 next Tuesday, July 19 and we think it is something your audience would be interested in knowing about. The occasion is in honor of seven graduates of the Awaken program, the training portion of Communities of Transformation. Following the mayor's speech and the graduation ceremony there will be an opportunity to speak with the graduates and volunteers and you would be welcome to join us for dinner.


COT is an innovative ministry that partners low-income families with community volunteers and was founded on the belief that poverty is not just the lack of financial resources, but is often the result of a lack of positive and supportive relationships.
