Meth Lab Bust in Marianna

On 01-15-2012, Officers with the Marianna Police Department, received information that subjects were in a room attempting to manufacture methamphetamine at The Budget Inn, located on Lafayette St. Once at the room, the officers made contact with the occupants. A consent to search the room was granted and the officers did locate in the room items that are typically used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine.
The occupants of the room were placed under arrest. Placed into custody were Thomas Jr. Swearington, of Graceville, Fla. and Ariel Danielle Lee Davis, of Cottondale, Fla. Both were charged with the Attempted Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Poss. of Methamphetamine.
The Marianna Police Department would especially like to thank the Jackson County Drug Task Force and observant members of the public for their assistance in this case.
