According to WDHN: Authorities say Scott Spivey, an officer with the Midland City Police Department, was driving a patrol car while off duty in Abbeville on Sunday night when he hit a vehicle at a red light next to the Henry County Courthouse.
"I had a blood test drawn. We don't have the results back on the blood test, and the officer then was transferred back here to the police department at City Hall, where at that time, I had asked him, 'Why were you in my car without my permission. That's unauthorized use of my vehicle,” said Police Chief Keith Walker.
According to Walker, Spivey said his personal car was not working, and while no charges were filed and no one was injured, he was suspended. The suspension could be the least of his concerns if test results show he was driving under the influence.
