DOTHAN: At a press conference today Toadlick Music Festival announced a partnership with Mike Schmitz Automotive Groups where the business will cover the cost of admittance so that all active and retired military who want to attend the festival can do so for free. With Memorial Day this weekend, Toadlick wanted to honor our troops by finding a partner in the community to reward those who have served and found that with Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz.
“Each and every day the men and woman of our military (and their families) sacrifice so that we may live under the banner of freedom. Mike Schmitz Automotive Groups is honored and humbled to be able to partner with Toadlick, this is the least we can do to show our gratitude, admiration, and respect to all those past, present, and future who defend our Nation. Go, enjoy, and thank you for your service,” Mayor Schmitz.
Retired and active military will be able to show military ID with member status at the different gates of the festival and enter for free to see headliners Kid Rock, Alabama, Justin Moore and many more June 2-4 at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds. Celebrating their fifth year, Toadlick will also host a second stage (Stage B) this year to offer festival-goers even more music with. People coming from as far away as Canada, California, New York and even Ireland are making the trek to lower Alabama for Toadlick 2016. Named as Dothan’s Largest Event by the Dothan Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, the organization recognized the value of the event and became an official partner with the festival to offer travelers hotel accommodations.
