Missing Man was Killed in Car Accident

DOTHAN POST – Alabama State Troopers responded today, Oct. 19, to a single-vehicle crash in Coffee County.  Troopers determined the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was Daniel Eugene Wiggins, 57, of Andalusia. Wiggins was reported missing Sunday, Oct. 16, by his family to the Covington County Sheriff’s Office.  


The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle left the roadway, traveled into a stream and struck a bridge embankment.  The crash occurred on Coffee County 349 seven miles northwest of Elba.  Nothing further is available as Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
