The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office has located Casey Jean Anderson. Anderson was located this morning by deputies after spending the last 2 nights in a densely wooded area. Anderson was transported for treatment by Holmes County EMS.
On the evening of February 16, the Sheriff’s Office received a call from Anderson’s mother reporting him missing from their home in Ponce de Leon. Earlier that evening, the Sheriff’s Office received a call of a suspicious person in the area of Simmons Lane, south of Ponce de Leon. The callers reported that the subject was knocking on their doors asking for water and matched the description of Anderson. Anderson was suffering from a brain injury and had not been taking his medication.
Sheriff Tim Brown would like to thank the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Corrections K-9 teams from Holmes and Walton C.I. for their assistance.
