Mobile tornado confirmed by NWS; thousands without power

The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Mobile, but storm teams won't be able to determine the strength of the tornado until later this afternoon.

"The damage was spread so far out, it may take a while before it's determined on the EF scale," said Morgan Varry, a meteorologist with NWS.
