Birmingham, Al. – Long-time Montgomery resident and prominent attorney, Scott McArdle, has been elected Chairman of the Make-A-Wish Alabama Board of Directors.
McArdle, managing partner of the law firm of McArdle & Whitman, PC, has served as Vice-chair of the Board since March of 2013. He has more than 10 years of experience in wish-granting missions and is passionate about the Make-A-Wish Alabama cause.
“’To whom much is given, much is required’ is one of the things I say to myself every day,” McArdle said. “I am blessed to have two healthy, beautiful children and a loving wife. My experience shows me that not every family is as fortunate as mine. For those reasons and the experience of bringing joy to the face of a child in desperate need, I am compelled to work as hard as I can for this cause.”
“Scott has a tremendous passion for this organization,” Make-A-Wish Alabama President and CEO, Pam Jones, said. “His motivation and enthusiasm are contagious. He brings unparalleled excitement that has reignited the fire of opportunity for the chapter, the staff, our Board and most importantly the families that we serve each and every day. We know this chapter will continue to do great things under his leadership.”
Make-A-Wish Alabama has also named Tom Read as Vice-chair of the Board.
Also serving are Secretary Scott Kimel and Treasurer Jennifer Wilson.
