BARBOUR COUNTY:   A Dothan man was arrested and booked in Barbour County for a shooting incident. The man was paying the rent on his lake place and a naked man was reported to have been in the shower of the man's lake place.

The Dothan man's daughter, who is going through a divorce, was at the trailer. The naked man was apparently there with the home owner's daughter.

We have attempted to contact Barbour County Sheriff Leroy Upshaw. That call was unsuccessful. Sheriff Upshaw has not returned my call.

A lady I was attempting to help on a bond reported to me that Sheriff Upshaw said he was not signing a -------  things with my name beside it.

I laugh. Laugh...and laugh....

SHERIFF UPSHAW

First, I want it clear.... I could care less if Barbour County Sheriff Leroy Upshaw ever calls me. For him to think any different, well perhaps he needs to think again.

I just feel for the people of Barbour County. Upshaw only won by 12 votes this past election. Had anyone run against him, stronger, than Upshaw would be on the unemployment line. And I feel sorry for the people of Barbour County to have a Sheriff that is the definition of lazy. LAZY...look in the Webster's dictionary and you will see a picture of Leroy Upshaw. If you do not believe me ask the men and women who work around him.

And I feel for the people of Barbour County who have crime and issues that depend on the Sheriff Department. There has been a couple of missing persons reports in Barbour County. Thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers who searched for and located the persons. Unfortunately they were deceased. The outcome could have possibly been different had Leroy Upshaw performed his duties, promptly.

With deer season approaching, Upshaw will be even harder to find. I mean, deer hunting is far more important than doing his duties as Sheriff.

Sorry that 13 people did not vote. Than Leroy Upshaw would be history as Sheriff rather than the current Sheriff.

But then, the power brokers, like the poor excuse for the ONLY Circuit Court Judge, Smithart, would have to find someone else to control.

What you have heard about the Barbour County system...you have 66 counties in Alabama, and then you have Barbour County!

When you see Sheriff Upshaw and/or Judge Smithhart around, get me some pictures and send to me where you see.
