More Arrest Made in Conection with the Chase and Wreck in Taylor

On March 11, 2016 the Houston County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a vehicle accident with injuries at 739 Rice Road, and that the cause may have involved shots being fired by a
pursuing vehicle.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded and initiated an investigation into the vehicle accident, as well as to the report of shots being fired by a pursuing vehicle. The investigation led to evidence which led to the following:
On March 11, 2016 at approximately 2:15 p.m. an Armed Robbery occurred at the Shell Station at the 5000 block of West Main Street, Dothan AL, committed by James Scott Kennedy, a 44 year old male, and Ronald Rogowicz, a 45 year old male, both from Daleville, AL.
The robbery involved the taking of methamphetamine from Kevin Micheal Barr a 27 year old male of Daleville, AL and Laura Jade Obryan a 19 year old female of Geneva County. Immediately after the robbery, James Kennedy and Ronald Rogowicz fled the scene and were pursued by Kevin Barr and
Laura Obryan in a second vehicle driven by Andrew Bradley West, a 23 year old male of Geneva County.
During the pursuit, shots were being fired by the occupants of the second vehicle at the vehicle occupied by James Kennedy and Ronald Rogowicz. The Investigation showed that the chase concluded with Kennedy and Rogowicz crashing into a UPS truck at 739 Rice Road at which time Barr, Obryan and West fled the area.
James Kennedy and Ronald Rogowicz were charged with 2 counts each of Armed Robbery 1st with a $60,000.00 bond on each.
Kevin Barr and Laura Obryan were taken into custody at a later date and were charged with 1 count of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance with a bond set at $30,000.00 each.
Andrew West was charged with 2 counts of Assault 2nd after being taken into custody at a later date and given a $30,000.00 bond on each count.
