LEE COUNTY: you know the case in Lee County where the Alabama speaker of the house is charged criminally?
This case would make a good drama movie.
The defendant, Mike Hubbard, alleges the special prosecutor in the case has committed prosecutorial misconduct.
A recent court document filed in the case from a Mr. Coleman made allegations that the special prosecutor, Matt Hart, had violated the secrecy of the Grand Jury.
When you read Coleman's affidavit you counted Hart out for the count.
Well now the Attorney General's office has countered that Coleman has been the attorney generals confidential informant against Hubbard since 2012.
Now Coleman is a business partner and a cohost of the radio show with Jack Campbell. After Coleman filed his affidavit, his partner Jack Campbell contacted the Attorney General's office.
In essence Campbell has now alleged that Coleman's affidavit is not true. The Attorney General's office claims any contact with Coleman was legitimate and for law-enforcement purposes. That the contact was because Coleman was a snitch on Hubbard.
Folks, a screenwriter could not write scripts for all of this stuff.
The Lee County circuit judge has set a hearing next week to try to cut the bull and get to the facts. It is obvious all parties involved are working to sale they are side of the story.
Another obvious fact, not only in this case, but in most court cases, never turn your back on anybody. All are out for themselves and could care less about each other. And the citizens are the ones that suffer.
