MCCALLA, AL (WBRC) -Authorities are searching for the husband and father of a woman and two children found shot to death in a McCalla home on Sunday night.
The Jefferson County coroner released the names of the mother and her two children on Monday morning: 49-year-old Doris Hutcheson, 14-year-old Kimberly Hutcheson and 12-year-old Peyton Hutcheson.
Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating their deaths as a triple homicide after finding the bodies at the home on Sunday night.
Investigators received a call just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 from a concerned relative asking for deputies to check on their family members at a house in the 5900 block of Coleman Lake Road.
The relative told authorities their brother and sister-in-law had not been heard from all weekend.
Deputies arrived at the location with another relative and forced entry into the residence where they found the bodies.
Sgt. Jack Self said the mother was found in one bedroom, the daughter in another bedroom and the son in the living room. He said each of the victims were shot once, but he wouldn't say where.
Authorities have not yet found the husband and father of the victims, 47-year-old Stephen Sean Hutcheson. He's described as 5'11" and 200 pounds.
Law enforcement officers are actively searching for him, but he is not being called a suspect or a person of interest at this time.
Officials confirm they have not made contact with him so far.
