Bobby Gene Forrest, a resident of Dothan, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, February 27, 2017. He was 69.
Memorial services for Bobby will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Memphis Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Tate officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
Bobby was born August 29, 1947 in Dothan to the late Malcolm and Bonnie Vanlandingham Forrest. He was a 1966 graduate of Ashford High School and later Troy State University. He began a career as a certified dental technician with Harper Dental Lab. In 1998 he merged C and B Dental Lab with Terry Watkins to form Dothan Crown and Bridge. Bobby was a member of Memphis Baptist where he taught Sunday School was a deacon and a Faith Rider. He had a love for people and the Lord and shared that through the many mission trips he coordinated at Memphis. Bobby and his team shared the word in Columbia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Honduras. He will be missed as a loving husband, father, “Pop” and friend.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, son, Jacob Forrest; two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Glenda Forrest, son and daughter in law, Josh and Audrey Forrest; daughter in law, Haley Forrest; grandchildren, Benjamin, Avery, Bonnie and Baylee; sister, Madrue Majors; numerous nieces and nephews.
